    The following are the ministries of which Southern Cagayan Valley Churches Of Christ Mission is to and about to engage with.

I – SOCAVA-COC MISSION OUTREACH MINISTRY

1. SOLANO  OUTREACH PROJECT:

Solano (Nueva Vizcaya) is an adjacent town of Bayombong, the capital town of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines and now the leading commercial center of the Province. Nueva Vizcaya now have four (4) local Congregations of the Churches of Christ/Christian Churches,  namely: Bayombong Church  (Bayombong Town Proper), Bonfal Church (Bonfal, Bayombong), Udyawan Church (Udyawan, Solano), and the Aritao Church, Nagcuartelan, Aritao.

A –THE POTENTIAL:

A Church to exist in the town proper of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya is considered  an urgent need. An organized Congregation  in the town Proper of Solano may neutralize the situation of our existing Churches in the area, I mean, specifically among the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ congregations  in the province especially on their present status:

1.      The Bayombong Church that was started in the mid 90’s is not so much making influence in the area, maybe due to management problem.

2.      The Bonfal Church  is actually a  church that primarily catering   the Cagayan Valley Satellite Children’s Home, the orphanage  being manned by Kay Davidson.

3.      The Udyawan Church, a remote barangay of Solano, about ten kilometers from the town Proper was started on the 1950’s but  it was dissolved for a period of time until it was regroup recently and turned to be a house Church.

4.      The Aritao Church at Nagcuartelan , about 20 kilometers from the town Proper of Aritao  is an infant Congregation, a Hongkong Church sponsored congregation started in 2006.

If a strong organized Church is found in Solano town, it will have a lasting impact to the Southern Cagayan Valley Mission work in the future for the following considerations:

1.      Solano may become a component city, anytime from now, to become the first city of Nueva Vizcaya;

2.      Those coming from the province of Ifugao, and nearby municipalities,  Solano is a considerable final destination of trade and commerce.  Jeepney routes coming from key places in the area as far as Sta. Fe in the south, Banaue in Ifugao  and Santiago City in Isabela are of regular trips to Solano.

3.      Business establishments are booming in Solano town, for even telecommunication offices are located in this town, instead of Bayombong.

In other words, Solano is a strategic location to plant a Church, that if done, a Church in this town will be a great help to the planting of Churches to its neighboring town or even in the entire Southern Cagayan Valley area.

                                     II- SOCAVA-COC CAMPUS MINISTRY

1. College Students Christian Organization – Quirino (COSCO-Quirino)

Quirino State University- A university in the province that caters not only the towns of Quirino but also those nearby towns of Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya provinces. Thus, an active Campus Ministry to operate in this campus is a great move to evangelize the students that will be coming from the above-mentioned municipalities.

1.      This ministry had already started in 2008 hosted by the Diffun Church Of Christ, but its activity requirements could not be fully attended for financial reasons;

2.      The success of this ministry will to contribute in  the development of a strong Church Youth Ministry in the area.

A-    Its Potential:

1.       Quirino State University is a government-run university of high academic standard but of low tuition fee. Thus, students  from  average families could easily afford to enroll and finally finish their courses. This fact offers a potential future of the ministry due to a continuous flow of enrollees yearly in this university.

          2.      The environment of the University is not so highly urbanized that contributes low resistance for students to attend religious      activities. This reason is absolutely enough to sustain the high level of moral for the ministry.

B-    Financial Consideration:

1.      A Campus Minister’s support . . . .P 12,000.00/USD 300.00 a month;

2.      A Mission House Rental . . . . . . . .     5,000.00/USD  125.00 a month;

3.      Internet Rental  . . . . . . .  . . . . . . . .        999.00/USD   25.00 a month;

4.      Miscellaneous   . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .      3,000.00/USD   75.00 a month.

                                        TOTAL          P 20,999.00/USD  525.00 a month

      Romans 10:15 said, “…how shall they preach unless they are sent?” We may not be able to do literally what the verse tells us but we could make it possible by our financial contribution to the mission work being done. Please contact us of your eagerness to contribute.  E-mail us at: socavacocmissions@yahoo.com.ph or gilbertguillermo78@yahoo.com.ph and we will be glad to have you included  in the list of our sponsors.
